Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs)

  • Federal Public/Civil Service or MDAs staff are eligible.
  • Priority is given to staff on Grade Levels 10-14, particularly those from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), National Orientation Agency (NOA), National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and National Population Commission (NPC).
  • INEC staff (RAOs and other personnel) not engaged in other duties are also eligible if they are on Grade Levels 10-14.

Presiding Officers (POs) and Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs I, II, III)

  • These roles are open to serving NYSC Corps members.
  • Former Corps members who completed service no earlier than 2018 are also eligible.
  • Students in their penultimate year at Federal or State Tertiary Institutions can apply.
  • Permanent staff of federal and state MDAs with a diploma (OND) or those on Grade Levels 07-10 can also apply.

RAC Managers

This role is open to heads of institutions or staff members on Grade Level 07 or higher at the institution hosting the Registration Area Centre (RAC).

Registration Area Technicians (RATECHs)

  • INEC ICT staff at the state and headquarters levels, who are not engaged in other duties, can apply for this role.
  • Serving NYSC Corps members working with INEC can also apply.

Qualifications and Requirements for INEC Ad-Hoc Staff

To be eligible for these positions, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Applicants must be members of the Federal Public or Civil Service, work in MDAs, be INEC staff, serving or former NYSC members, or penultimate students in Federal or State tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
  2. Must have a qualification such as ND, HND, B.Sc, or its equivalent.
  3. Applicants must not belong to any political party and must not have expressed support for any candidate or political party.
  4. Candidates must reside in the state they select for deployment.
  5. A valid form of identification such as a National Identity Number (NIN), driver’s license, national ID, or voter’s card is mandatory.

Steps to Apply for the INEC Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment 2024

Interested applicants are to visit the INECPRES Ad-Hoc staff registration portal, accessible at https://pres.inecnigeria.org. Candidates may apply through the mobile app (for Android phones) or the web portal.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to complete the application:

  1. Visit the INECPRES registration portal and select the “Apply” option.
  2. Choose one of the available job roles based on your qualifications.
  3. Upload a recent passport photograph with a white background.
  4. Provide the email addresses and phone numbers of two referees.
  5. Submit your Staff ID No., Student ID No., or NYSC Call-up number if you’re a former Corps member.
  6. Upon successful completion, print out the Acknowledgement Slip to keep for future reference.

It’s important to note that the application process is entirely online and free. Applicants are advised not to pay anyone for this recruitment, as any form of payment is unnecessary. Candidates found paying for recruitment may be reported to relevant authorities, leading to disqualification.
