The NIPC’s employment policy is centred on recruiting, training, motivating, and retaining a highly skilled workforce. These staff members must demonstrate the potential to handle the Commission’s unique challenges and responsibilities effectively.
The Commission classifies its employees into the following categories based on qualifications and experience: Junior Staff (Grade Level NIPC/SS/10-15 and Grade Level NIPC/SS/04-09) and Senior Staff (Management Staff: Grade Level NIPC/SS/01-03).
NIPC Recruitment Eligibility Requirements
- Nigerian citizenship is mandatory for all applicants.
- Valid proof of identification, including a National Identification Number (NIN), is compulsory.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years old.
- A minimum of five credits in GCE, WAEC, or NECO in no more than two sittings.
- Candidates must possess at least one of the following qualifications: HND, B.Sc., NCE, or OND from an accredited institution.
- For senior roles, candidates must have a minimum of a second-class honours degree or its equivalent from a recognised institution.
- A valid discharge or exemption certificate from the NYSC scheme is required.
- Applicants must have a clean record, with no felony convictions.
- Reliable referees are required to support applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is an added advantage.
- A fitness certificate from a recognised government hospital is necessary.
- Candidates must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a strong desire for career growth.
- Technicians and drivers qualifications must include trade tests or a valid driving licence.
NIPC Recruitment Application Process
To apply for the NIPC recruitment, candidates should visit the official NIPC recruitment portal at www.nipc.gov.ng and sign up with their correct information. Applicants are to select any of the available positions and fill out the application form. Finally, carefully review your details before submission online. Candidates will not be allowed an opportunity to modify submitted information.
Submitting multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification, as such, candidates can only register one account. Please remember that the NIPC application form is free. Any requests for payment should be reported immediately. Also, the portal will remain open for two weeks. Late applications will not be accepted by the Commission.
Applicants who are found guilty of paying for slots will be disqualified and prosecuted. The federal government takes cases of job racketeering very seriously, and will not hesitate to hand over defaulters to the authorities.
