The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced its recruitment following the Federal Government’s recent approval for the addition of new personnel to the Corps. This development is an opportunity for Nigerians interested in a career in federal service, specifically those who wish to contribute to road safety across the country. The FRSC is inviting applications from eligible candidates, providing positions suitable for both fresh graduates and experienced professionals alike. Those with the required qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply, as this recruitment opens up a variety of career paths within the FRSC.

Available Positions in the FRSC Recruitment

The FRSC has outlined several key roles within the Corps that are open for recruitment. These positions fall into three main categories:

  1. Officer Cadre
  2. Marshal Inspectorate Cadre
  3. Road Marshal Assistant

Each category has sublevels ranging from CONPASS 03 to CONPASS 08, offering multiple career paths to fit different qualifications and skills. For instance, candidates with professional registrations in related fields may find themselves at an advantage. The FRSC emphasizes that selected applicants must be prepared to work in any part of Nigeria where they may be assigned, as the Corps aims to strengthen its presence nationwide.

The FRSC has made it known that this recruitment welcomes candidates interested in taking on a full-time position within the FRSC and encourages applications from all qualified individuals looking to embark on or advance their careers in federal service.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the FRSC recruitment, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
  2. Candidates must possess either an SSCE certificate (from WASCCE, NECO, GCE, or an equivalent exam) or a degree (Bachelor’s, HND, ND, or equivalent). These qualifications should have been achieved in no more than two sittings and must include passing grades in English and Mathematics.
  3. All applicants must be physically fit and provide a Certificate of Medical Fitness from a recognized government hospital.

  5. The age range for applicants is between 18 and 30 years. However, there is an age relaxation for certain roles, such as medical doctors and articulated vehicle drivers, for whom the maximum age limit is extended to 35 years.
  6. For physical eligibility, male applicants must be at least 1.68 meters tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.64 meters. Additionally, male applicants should have a minimum chest measurement of 0.87 meters.
  7. All applicants must be single. In particular, the FRSC notes that applicants must not be married or pregnant at the time of application.
  8. While not mandatory for all positions, computer skills are considered an added advantage across all cadres.
  9. Medical and allied health professionals must possess valid, up-to-date practicing licenses. Similarly, lawyers applying must be able to show they have been called to the Bar.

The FRSC has stated that applicants should be careful to ensure all qualifications and certificates are accurate and complete when submitting them, as any document not presented during the recruitment will not be accepted later for career progression within the Corps.

The FRSC management has urged applicants to:

  • Use their own email address and phone number when registering on the online portal.
  • Have a National Identity Number (NIN), which is a mandatory requirement for the application process.
  • Ensure they are free from tattoos, as applicants with visible tattoos are disqualified.

How to Apply

To apply for the recruitment, applicants must follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Recruitment Portal at https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng.
  2. Create an account using a valid email address and phone number.
  3. Log into the newly created account.
  4. Go to the “Application” section, where applicants will upload all required documents, including academic qualifications and certifications.
  5. After uploading all necessary documents, click on “Apply” to finalize and submit the application.
  6. After submitting the application, applicants should print out the reference forms. These forms must be completed by referees whose details were provided during the application process.
  7. Finally, applicants should print the registration slip for their records, which will serve as proof of their application.

The FRSC recruitment portal will remain open for four weeks following the official announcement of the recruitment process. Applicants are strongly advised to have all documents ready before applying to avoid last-minute issues. Only one application per candidate is allowed; submitting multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.

The FRSC has clarified that the recruitment process is free of charge, as learned by BHCPF.org.ng. Candidates should not pay anyone offering assistance to secure a position. Individuals found attempting to engage in fraudulent activities, such as bribing, will be handed over to the relevant authorities.

Applicants are also advised to stay vigilant and apply solely through the official FRSC recruitment portal at recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. There may be websites claiming to represent the FRSC, and the Corps emphasizes that it does not endorse or recognize any other sites or services for recruitment. Candidates should avoid third-party entities claiming to offer guaranteed employment within the FRSC, as these are scams.

Selection Process After Application

Once the application period ends, shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and SMS with instructions for the next steps in the recruitment process. The FRSC will conduct a computer-based test (CBT) as a part of the selection procedure, where successful applicants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their qualifications and knowledge. Details regarding the date and location of the test will be provided to shortlisted candidates, and all further communication will be conducted through official FRSC channels.

BHCPF.org.ng is calling on qualified people from all the states to participate in this recruitment as it is an open door for qualified Nigerians to join the Federal Road Safety Corps. This agency is a respected organization dedicated to maintaining and promoting road safety throughout Nigeria. Interested applicants should carefully review the eligibility criteria and follow the application process accurately to maximize their chances of a successful application. The FRSC is dedicated to maintaining a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, ensuring that all qualified individuals have an equal opportunity to serve in this vital federal institution.
