The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) invites graduates and post-graduates to apply for training as Direct Short Service Cadets under DSSC33/2024. This is an opportunity for Nigerians whose dreams have been to serve in the Nigerian Air Force. NAF has promised that this will be a free, fair and transparent recruitment exercise that considers only applicants who meet the requirements. Nigerian Air Force DSSC Recruitment 2024

Applications must be made online, and the process is FREE OF CHARGE. The Commission has warned that any applications made outside of the official portal will not be considered.

Also, candidates cannot pay anyone to secure a spot in the Nigerian Air Force. Candidates caught making payments in exchange for recruitment will be disqualified and handed over to local authorities. NAF has also explained that applicants can be from any state in Nigeria as long as they are Nigerian citizens.

Nigerian Air Force DSSC Recruitment Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this exercise, applicants must meet the following:

  • Be of Nigerian origin by birth.
  • Meet the height requirement for males, which is at least 1.66m tall or for females, which is at least 1.63m tall.
  • Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
  • Have no prior criminal convictions as determined by a court of law.
  • Be between the ages of 20 and 30 years, born on or after 27 September 1995. The exceptions that apply is that Medical Consultants can be between 25 and 40 years (born on or after 27 September 1985). However, serving military personnel seeking Branch Commission are not eligible if they are above 30 years (born before 27 September 1995).
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for Bachelor’s degree holders and Upper Credit for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders.
  • Have credits in English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects related to their field of study.
  • Qualifications in computer literacy will be an advantage.
  • Present a valid NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption at the time of application.
  • Be registered with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria where applicable.

How to Apply for gor Nigerian Air Force DSSC Recruitment

Interested applicants should visit the official recruitment portal at www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. It is important to carefully read the specific disciplines required before filling out the form. A lot of applicants usually rush to complete the registration faster, only to end up making mistakes.

Eligible applicants must print the following documents after completing their online applications:

    • Local Government Area Attestation Form – This form must be signed by a Military/Police Officer not below the rank of Wing Commander or equivalent, or by officials such as Local Government Chairmen/Secretaries, Magistrates, or Principals of secondary schools attended by the applicants.
    • Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
    • Attestation of Good Character Form.
    • Acknowledgment Form. Invalid applications will not generate these forms.

    Please take it easy because only ONE application is allowed per person. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification. Once submitted, applications cannot be corrected.

    The online registration process begins on 14 October 2024 and ends on 26 November 2024. There will be a schedule for Zonal Aptitude Test, and the Commission will communicate this information through the NAF Recruitment Portal.

    Once again, recruitment into the Nigerian Air Force is FREE. Applicants should not make any payments at any stage of the process. Meanwhile, the Attestation Form must include the passport photograph of the applicant and the signee. A photocopy of the signee’s Driver’s Licence, International Passport, or National ID Card must also accompany this form.
