WAEC is a renowned sub-regional organisation responsible for conducting examinations across English-speaking West African countries. WAEC Recruitment Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess five (5) credits in SSCE/WASSCE including English Language and Mathematics at a single sitting, or six (6) credits including English Language and Mathematics at no more than two sittings.
- Be under 40 years of age as of the closing date of the advertisement.
- Have completed the mandatory one-year National Youth Service (NYSC).
- Hold a recognised OND, NCE, HND, B.A., or B.Sc. degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division in their preferred field.
- Possess a minimum of three years post-NYSC teaching experience.
- Qualifications such as a Master’s Degree in Measurement and Evaluation will be an advantage.
- Some roles also require professional certifications or licences, such as: Membership with ICAN, ACCA UK, or ACA (for accounting roles), full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and a valid practising licence (for medical officers), membership of the Nigeria Bar Association (for legal positions), and professional certifications in CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or ATD (for HR roles).
- Candidates should also demonstrate skills in aptitude test development, item writing, research analysis, and report preparation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is mandatory.
- Applicants must display high integrity, reliability, and the ability to work independently or in teams.
